I really enjoyed reading your essay on Greenwich, and I sorry that my
book helped propel you down this complicated path.

I gather the path remains somewhere between bumpy and downright
treacherous. The woman who was to guide Greenwich to state approval
(not accreditation) left a few months ago in a swirl of controversy,
and that apparently ended the California presence; things reverted to
Hawaii. Francesca was replaced by Norman Pearson, from the faculty of
Capella U, who said all the right things, but apparently didn't do too
many of them, and has recently departed as well, leaving the ship
without a rudder, but with, I gather, half a dozen competent oarsmen
(the various deans) who have hopes and plans to stay on a path, or at
least to avoid sinking, until a rudder is found.

But the good news is that the free MIT curricula, all 500+ courses
worth, is actually available online, as of earlier this month. What a
thing!

All best regards,

John
