KEEP IT SIMPLE! (The KISS principle). Long complicated speeches inspire nobody. Use direct language. Avoid abstract words. 3. Have one key idea, and make it really important to your listeners. 4. You want to move people to action. Therefore listeners must believe in YOU. 5. Change your posture: Stand very tall, but relaxed. Use eye contact. Lower your voice. Use contrasts of silence and speech to keep attention. 6. Encourage your listeners to respond. Challenge them to agree. Give them a clear problem. Offer a solution they can use personally.
